Benjamin is currently the Saxophone and Chamber Music Lecturer at California State University Northridge and Riverside City College, and also teaches saxophone and clarinet lessons at his home studio in Alhambra and throughout Los Angeles County.
High quality instruction (and private instruction) makes the biggest difference in anyones musical development. In-person or Online, working with all ranges and ages of students, Benjamin works to develop technique, sound, articulation, musicality, posture, proper hand position, and helps students find the correct equipment so each student can be as successful as possible. It is my goal to help every student find their own voice with their instrument. Each lesson will involve technical exercises (etudes) along with repertoire, so students have a balance of hard work and enjoyment. He is available to help prep for school band auditions, SCSBOA, MTNA, All-Southern, All-State and College Auditions.
He addition to his home studio, Benjamin is currently teaching saxophone and clarinet lessons in the following areas/cities:
- Alhambra, South Pasadena, San Marino, Pasadena, San Gabriel
- Redondo Beach, Hermosa Beach, Torrance, Palos Verdes, Manhattan Beach
Beginning September 1, 2023 the lesson rate will $100/60-minute lesson and $80/45-minute lesson. All regular lessons are charged at a flat monthly equivalent to 4 lessons per month.
