It is a lesson program that starts from basics, addressing the most common issues and how to fix them, that I have encountered over the last 20+ years of teaching. From Beginners, through college, and even graduate students, the same issues persist to one degree or another. This course teaches you what to look out for, and how to fix them, so you can either start well or develop the foundational skills needed to excel past your current level.

A second course, The Next Steps, is also in development, taking all of the established skills from the first course, but expanding them into the skills needed to advance to high level. REALLY learning to play in tune, how do you control it? Double Tonguing, Slap Tonguing, Overtones, Pitch Bending, Voicing, Multiphonics. These are those next steps, that don’t neatly fit into my Saxophone Foundations course, but are foundational for the modern performing saxophonist.
